Online Self-Assessments (OSAs) at the University of Vienna

  • Interactive tasks introduce you to the key areas of a subject and help you decide whether the degree programme is a good fit for you.
  • Participation in the OSAs is anonymous.
  • For the best experience, we recommend using a device with a sufficiently large screen, such as a PC, laptop, or tablet.

Please note that OSAs for German-taught bachelor's programmes are only available in German. See Degree Programmes taught in English for further information.

If you are completing the OSA as part of an admission or entrance exam procedure:

  • Please make sure to note the code shown at the end of the OSA or have it sent to you by email. You will need this code later in the admission process.
  • Be sure to check the specific admission deadline (current application period is from 2 March to 4 May 2026) for your degree programme.
